Yeah Yeah Yeahs Side Show

SYDNEY SIDE SHOW ANNOUNCED!

22 JAN- THE METRO, SYDNEY

New York power trio YEAH YEAH YEAHS return to Australia in a swirl of dangerous riffs, stomping propulsion and that unmistakable howl.

Back in 2003, YEAH YEAH YEAHS released their first full-length album, Fever to Tell, which was simultaneously filthy, infectious, sloppy, and brilliant. You could dance to it, and you could probably die to it. It’s single “Maps” was nominated for a Grammy, and the record went gold in the UK.

The band then developed an itchy and unshakeable aversion to repeating itself and now arrives at BIG DAY OUT with three eclectic and acclaimed albums under their belt. From stomping rockers to shout-along anthems, this art-punk gang have the tunes to get you moving.

These tunes form the backbone of their legendary stage performance. In fact, one cannot understand the YEAH YEAH YEAHS without seeing singer Karen O writhing and thriving onstage. NME described it as a ‘voodoo ritual’ while the Guardian say “she looks as though she is having as much fun as a frontperson can legally have.”

From breathtaking tearjearker Maps to indie disco burner Heads Will RollYEAH YEAH YEAHS order you to hit the floor and dance til you’re dead!  This show is your only chance to see YEAH YEAH YEAHS outside of BIG DAY OUT 2013!
