GENERAL VOLUNTEER AND CROWDCARE POSITIONS

ARE NOW FILLED. 

GENERAL VOLUNTEERS 

Volunteers are required to assist with various areas to stage our event such as; handing out programs, wrist banding, ticketing support, event setup, cloakroom  and  information booths.

CROWD CARE VOLUNTEERS  

A crowd care volunteer acts as a link between the patrons, security and St Johns Ambulance. Crowd Carers assist by keeping a watchful yet unobtrusive eye on the crowd, offer general information to patrons and assess and report to supervisors when further safety, security or maintenance assistance may be required.

WHAT THE BIG DAY OUT REQUIRES FROM OUR VOLUNTEERS :

* Turn up on time to perform your duties, times and areas will be allocated to you

* Common sense and initiative

* Be 18 years or over

* Reliable, honest and responsible 

* Friendly and approachable

* Love of music and festivals

* A non judgmental approach

* Commitment to team work

* Attend a briefing session if required.

* Crowd Care – First Aid Certificate (not essential but a bonus)

* Crowd Care attend a compulsory training session. 

IN RETURN FOR YOUR TIME THE BIG DAY OUT WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH:

* Free entry to the Big Day Out

* Refreshments 

* Necessary training, information and support

Crowd care and Volunteer positions are strictly limited. There’s a selection process, then its first in best dressed – so if you are interested get in quick!
