BLUEJUICE
In 2010 Sydney band BLUEJUICE strap on their dancing shoes for their first BIG DAY OUT tour. A rock band that mix hip hop with pop, ska, punk and disco, BLUEJUICE is a truly dynamic live act whose combination of drums, bass, keys and two harmonizing singers create an reckless party atmosphere wherever they play.
Over the last two years, BLUEJUICE have been worming their way into your head, first with heavily rotated Triple J favorites like 'Vitriol' and 'The Reductionist', and now with 'Broken Leg', the first single from their second album 'Head Of The Hawk'.
Their first effort with US producer Chris Shaw (Weezer, Public Enemy, Ween, Bob Dylan), 'Head Of The Hawk' marks obvious growth, with BLUEJUICE delivering some sincere moments amidst their trademarked brand of violent chaos. The title track is an addictive electro pop tune that sounds like Mad Professor backing REO Speedwagon, 'Ain't Telling The Truth' sounds like Elton John with a sore throat and an 808, while hit single 'Broken Leg' is so catchy, it'd make Phil Collins jealous. And there's plenty more to come...
"Definitely one of the better records to be released this year..." 4 stars - JMag.
As unpredictable as a day spent without taking your medication, BLUEJUICE put on an infamously energetic live show…not to be missed across Australia this summer at the BIG DAY OUT 2010
