DUE TO OUR CONTINUING BATTLE AGAINST TICKET SCALPERS AND PROFITEERING, THE BIG DAY OUT REQUIRES YOU TO READ AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE TICKETS TO THE SHOW
CONDITIONS OF SALE AND ADMISSION
When this ticket is purchased subject to the following conditions from the Promoter, these conditions apply to that purchaser both as conditions of sale and as conditions of admission to the event; otherwise the following conditions apply as conditions of admission to the event:
1. All conditions shown on this ticket are to be read together with all other statements or directives either shown on this ticket or displayed on the premises.
2. This ticket may not, without the prior consent of the promoter, be resold or offered for resale at a premium over the face value of the ticket (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promoting or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services either by the original purchaser from the Promoter or any subsequent ticket holder.
If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel the ticket without a refund. This ticket is only valid when purchased from official agents. Tickets bought from other sources may be refused entry.
3. The Promoter reserves the right to enforce published ticket purchase limits and cancel any tickets obtained above said limits by any one customer.
4. If the event is cancelled by the Promoter for any reason, only the face value of the ticket will be refunded. If Promoter deems it necessary to abandon the event due to the forces of nature or any other reason, refund of the face value of the ticket is at the discretion of the Promoter.
5. Save as required by law, tickets will not be replaced nor money refunded after purchase. Duplicate tickets will not be issued for lost, stolen or damaged tickets. The Promoter does not offer refund in the event of lost, stolen or damaged tickets or where the ticket holder cannot attend the festival due to reasons beyond the Festival's control.
6. The Promoter reserves the right to change the lineup and/or the date of the event without prior notification. In the event of change of the date or lineup, refunds will not be available.
7. Please note there are restricted capacities at some Stages and other tented structures. Once the maximum capacity is reached in these areas there will be no further admissions. Your purchase of an event ticket does not guarantee admission to these areas in such cases.
8. We play rain or shine.
9. The Big Day Out is for Mature Audiences only (MA15). Children under the age of 15 are not permitted. All patrons entering the site must have a valid ticket.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse a ticketholder admission to the event or to evict that person from the event in any of the following circumstances:
a) if the ticketholder fails to produce appropriate identification as proof of age;
b) if the ticket has been sold or used in breach of condition 2;
c) if the ticket has been sold or used in breach of condition 9;
d) if the ticketholder refuses to make their clothes, bags, containers or other possessions available for search by the Promoter;
e) if the ticketholder is affected by the consumption of alcohol or drugs.
f) if the ticketholder participates in dangerous activities including aggressive dancing, moshing, stage diving, crowd surfing and climbing.
11. The words “Big Day Out” , and the Big Day out logo and artwork are Registered Trademarks and are Copyrighted and cannot be used without the prior written consent of the Promoter.
12. Entry is at own risk.
13. The Promoter and the owner and or lessee of the Venue shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damages sustained entering or within the Venue whether caused by the negligence of the Promoter or that owner or lessee or otherwise.
14. Small still cameras, including small digital cameras, are permitted but no sound or video recorders will be allowed inside the Venue. Professional cameras of any kind are not allowed on site without authority from the Promoter.
15. Bottles, cans, weapons, lasers, fireworks, umbrellas, illicit drugs and alcohol are prohibited items and will not be permitted in to the Venue. All bags/containers are subject to a full search at entry to ensure the safety of patrons. Prohibited items that are confiscated will not be returned.
16. Ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as members of the audience.
17. No pass outs will be issued unless otherwise advised.
18. Patrons who wish to consume alcohol must have photographic identification (except N.Z.). Anyone found to be supplying or buying alcohol for a minor will be evicted from the Venue and will possibly face criminal charges.
19. In the case of an emergency evacuation or situation, you must follow all official directives.
20. If you feel at any time your or anyone else's health or safety is threatened, you should contact the nearest security guard. There are St John's Ambulance Officers on site at all times who can be contacted by security.

SOME USEFUL ADVICE...
1. In most cities there will be an express entry lane for people without bags. It is wise to bring only essential items for the day. There will be a bag and coat check on site for use.
2. You should bring plenty of sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, or a raincoat if weather indicates.
3. The use of earplugs is recommended if long term hearing loss is of concern to you. The Promoters of the event will not be held liable for any hearing damage or loss.
4. Avoid dehydration - don't forget to drink water.
5. You should bring adequate cash for the whole day, as there are no cash or credit facilities on site.
6. In order to maintain the Big Day Out as a Clean and Green event, the Promoters encourage all patrons to utilise the recycling & refuse facilities provided throughout the site. It's your site: keep it clean!!
