Summer 2013

Tips to stay cool at BDO Sydney

Jan 17, 2013

With the forecast for tomorrows event hitting the high 30’s, we have some tips below to help you stay cool and hydrated so you and your friends can enjoy the show and have a day to remember!

Drink Plenty of Water
In addition to existing water stations, there will be two extra CamelBak stations on site to help you stay hydrated.

Empty plastic water bottles will be accepted at the gates.

Shaded Areas and Misting Stations
The Dome, The Boiler Room, the Red Bull No Noise Nightclub, VANS Essentials Stage, The El Jimador Mexican Wrestling Bar have shaded areas, as well as the Grand Stands around the Orange and Blue Stages so you’ll be able to stay out of the sun without missing out on the live action!

There is a misting dome and also a DJANGO UNCHAINED misting station, you can find these on the Sydney Map located on the link below.

Slip Slop Slap
Don’t forget to Slip, Slop, Slap! Wearing protective clothing, Sunscreen and a Hat is the key to avoiding Sunstroke, Sunburn and looking like a Lobster.

Keep hydrated and look after your friends. If you see someone who is in need to medical attention please get them help. Contact St Johns Ambulance, security or a BDO worker to assist getting them to a first aid location on site.

Most importantly don’t forget to enjoy the show!

The Big Day Out application is available for download from both Android Marketplace and Apple App Store. So download the app and put the BDO 2013 experience in the palm of your hand!
