The Killers singer Brandon Flowers has said the band’s new album is “going down a few different roads”.
Speaking to Billboard, Flowers also said that there would be other tracks like new single ‘Runaways’, which you can see the video to below, featuring on the record too.
‘”I had a good feeling about [Runaways],” he said. The new single “definitely has a couple of ‘brothers’ on the record. It’s a great starting point, but there are more styles as well…We’ve never hid our influences, and we’ve always been loud and proud. This album is going down a few different roads, and you really get a taste of what we like as a band and what we think our strengths are.”
Last week, The Killers made a live comeback at an intimate show in Asheville, North Carolina, where they played four new tracks from their forthcoming new album ‘Battle Born‘, which is named after the words written on their native state Nevada’s flag.
The album is released in Australia on September 14th.
In the meantime, here’s the video to it’s first single, Runaways.
If you were wondering how they get that big sound, The Killers have revealed the secrets of their “special” recording studio in a new video which you can watch below.
At the start of the behind-the-scenes video, drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr explains that the band’s Las Vegas hub is “not your usual recording studio – it’s something special”.
All we can say is keep an eye out for Andre Agassi….and Wayne Newton!
