BIG DAY OUT has flown over to Chicago to check out our sister festival LOLLAPALOOZA and we are the proudest siblings ever! What an amazing festival!

Here’s the Big Day Out media tent where we interviewed some of the bands at Lollapalooza that are coming to play BDO. 

Jeff The Brotherhood were the first to pay us a visit before their set. The brothers can’t wait to play Big Day Out and are looking to spend a few more weeks exploring Australia. This can only be a good thing!

Delta Spirit are very funny guys and they put on one hell of a show. The crowd went wild! Here’s them chilling out during said show.

  In between watching awesome music, we wandered down to Chow Town and marvelled at the gourmet festival food. We scoffed Lobster Corndogs, Truffle Popcorn and Jalepeno Jelly toasted cheese while some kids jumped rope. 

Red Hot Chili Peppers played a huge hit after huge hit headlining set on Saturday night. Their sound was incredible and everyone in the audience knew every word to every song. How couldn’t they? We can’t wait for them to headline Big Day Out 2013!

On Sunday afternoon, Gary Clark Jr drew a MASSIVE crowd to hear his soulful voice. There’s no doubt he will be a lot of people’s highlight at the Big Day Out 2013. Oh, and lovin’ that city skyline in the background!

We were also pretty busy having our minds blown by the secret show that Band of Horses did. Their new album sounds so good live!! We’re so happy they’ll be playing from it at Big Day Out!

TONIGHT: we have Childish Gambino and Kaskade headlining their own stages. What an awesome way to finish the festival!!
